MM Tunnelling acted as the Tunnel Manager for the twin 1.6km drives using a HK Variable Density TBM coupled with a MS STP.
The TBM was assembled at the North portal and Driven to the South where the shied was dismantled moved overground back to the North Portal with the gantries being moved back through the tunnel via a HK "Caterpillar" system
The second drive followed the same procedure with the shield however being transported back to HK, Germany
